The 2017/18 Summer Touch Football season starts on Monday 2nd and Wednesday 4th October 2017. Nominations are now open and close on Friday 22nd September 2017.

MONDAY NIGHT COMPETITIONS

Games will be played at 6:30pm, 7:20pm, 8:10pm and if necessary 9pm.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT COMPETITIONS
– Mixed Beginner
– Mixed Intermediate
– Mixed Advanced
Games will be played at 6:30pm, 7:20pm and if necessary 8:10pm.
We recommend that new teams register in the Wednesday night competition as it’s more social than Monday nights. All divisions must have a minimum of four (4) teams.
Teams must register a minimum of 10 players and can have a maximum of 14 players.
All mixed teams must play a minimum of three females on the field at all times however, can have any composition to make the minimum number of players required.
Teams that register 10 adult players can register an additional 4 junior players for free.
Junior players must be 17 or under as at 31 December 2017.

OUR FEES OPTIONS FOR 2017/18 HAVE CHANGED SO PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
You are able to register your team and pay one team fee, or register your team and pay as individuals.
REGISTRATION FEES FOR ONE TEAM PAYMENT
Adult Team – 10 Players – $1400 per team (no deduction for junior players)
Adult Team – 11 Players – $1500 per team (no deduction for junior players)
Adult Team – 12 – 14 Players – $1600 per team (no deduction for junior players)
Junior Team – 10 -14 Players – $1400 per team
For any additional players that register at a later date, the individual player fee will be $145.
Payment Options – Bank Transfer, Credit Card or Cash.

At SDTA we employ a delegate referee system where teams are required to complete six duties throughout the summer season either immediately before or after their game. For Summer 2016/17 we are changing the system and further information is listed below.
OPTION 1 – COMPLETE TEAM DELEGATE DUTIES
Teams must complete all allocated team delegate duties during the season. The team delegate must be prepared to take the field and actively referee their duties which will be either immediately before or after your game. Strict penalties apply if you don’t not complete your referee duties. Touch Football WA runs regular level 1 referee courses throughout the year and a schedule of courses is available at www.touchfootballwa.com.au.
OPTION 2 – PAY TO NOT COMPLETE TEAM DELEGATE DUTIES
Teams can pay to not complete team delegate duties and pay $350 to cover the costs of the club providing more referees. You will have the option to select this during the nomination process.

OPTION 3 – NEW ‘C’ GRADE OR BEGINNER TEAMS
Teams that SDTA determines are ‘new’ to our Association will not be required to complete team delegate duties in the first year. To be eligible the team must consist of inexperienced players who are entering for the first time in any of our ‘C’ division or ‘Beginner’ divisions
SOUTHERN DISTRICTS TOUCH ASSOCIATION
TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR SUMMER 2017/18
All teams must be in full uniform by round 4 of the competition. Teams who do not abide by this condition will not be permitted to take to the field and may be withdrawn from the competition. A team uniform consists of matching coloured shirts (WHITE and FLURO GREEN/YELLOW NOT PERMITTED) with a minimum 20cm number on the back in a contrasting colour. Please choose numbers between 0 and 20 if possible.
Thanks for being the Team Organiser, we appreciate it and you’ll be getting heaps of support from our Administrator, Karen. However, it’s important that you understand what you will need to do. We’ve listed everything below.
– Complete the online registration process and either make a team payment or arrange for your players to register and pay via our online registration and payment system.
– Ensure your team members are aware of our playing rules and competition rules before the commencement of the season.
– Ensure any fill-in or visiting players register at the office BEFORE your game and pay the $10 visitor fee. A visiting player can only play three games per season. Teams will lose points for not declaring visiting players.
– Make sure your team is in uniform or are wearing ‘bibs’.
– Forward any club news or notifications to your team members.
– Ensure team delegate referees attend games if required.
– Ensure the team sheet is completed weekly with player details and injuries and returned to the office at the completion of your game.
Touch Football at Southern Districts is based on “fun and fair play” and teams are advised to approach the competition in this manner, regardless of what grade you play. In addition to the rules of Touch Football Australia and TFWA, SDTA have imposed competition rules for the coming season. They are available on the rules tab.
